Joint venture between Allied Group and Rafid Group enters operationals phase in Saudi Arabia

The Presidents of Allied Group, Valter Alberici and Marc Herzstein, plan to make an official announcement that their new great challenge is about to enter its operational phase in Saudi Arabia alongside Rafid Group , Saudi industrial group leading the local oil & gas market. The announcement will be made at the Christmas Dinner 2019, scheduled for 20 December in the Allied headquarters at Castel san Giovanni.

The project is as exciting as it is challenging: a joint venture building three new factories in Saudi Arabia for the production of fittings, welded/clad pipes and bends (wide-radius bends). The project started in late 2017, in conjunction with the announcement by the Saudi royal family about its IKTVA (In-Kingdom Total Value Added) programme with the direct involvement of Saudi Aramco aimed at localizing the production of the commodities most in demand in the oil & gas sector.

The synergy between Allied and its new partner involves the creation of three joint ventures with Aasia Steel of Rafid group : Aasia Tectubi, Aasia Gieminox, Aasia Simas. The strategy aims to satisfy all requirements for the oil & gas market in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. Each partner will contribute value according to its strengths: Allied companies ( Tectubi Raccordi, Gieminox, Simas ) bring know-how and most of the machinery and brands to the table, while Aasia Steel takes charge of the construction of the buildings and local organization, and guarantees commercial penetration. The project requires constant energy and resources, investments are sustained equally, the factories are located in Jubail Industrial City and production is expected to start in early 2021.
